Coming off a 1-5  regular season last year, the Galileo Varsity Football team is determined to make the playoffs this time around. The team has shown more effort and maturity this year compared to last year, and their first win against San Lorenzo on September 3rd has the team headed in the right direction. The win also boosted the team’s confidence, making the them optimistic about their chances  of  making the playoffs.

With a team made up primarily of players from last year, the coaching staff believes the team has grown. Head Coach, Mark Huynh says, “We have more chemistry this year because we’re more mature and we have returning seniors.”

The coaching staff also hopes the team will bond throughout the course of the season.  “Seeing the team get closer with seeing results on the field is what I want to see the most. I want not only to see the team get closer on the field, but also help them going forward, ” says assistant coach, Stephen Carton.
