Three plays into the second quarter senior (QB) Adrian Poot ran in for a touchdown. Yarvell Smith  ran in the following play for a 2 point conversion, which made the score 14-8. Later in the quarter, Adrian found Junior RB Ronald Fox for an 8 yard touchdown pass, which tied the score  at 14.

In the 2nd half, Lincoln used most of the clock with a 17 plays 72 drive that  led to a field goal, which made the score 17-14.  However the Lions answered back when Yarvell escaped the defense and ran 76 yards to get deep into Lincoln territory. A pass to junior WR Reese  Bickart helped score the go ahead touchdown, and made the score 22-17, with 6 minutes left in the game. Down to the last minute in the game, Lincoln was forced to throw a pass leading to an interception, which clinched the game for the Lions.
