Galileo’s Soccer Team Remains Undefeated

Eric. H warming up.

The Galileo Lions boys soccer team looked like a new team, wearing their brand new jerseys, when they hosted the Academy Wolves on Tuesday, January 8th.

Fueled with a new look, the Lions started the game off on fire as junior striker Kidus Samson scored the first goal during the first 3 minutes of the game. Kidus went on to lead the game in scoring, scoring 3 goals in the first half, while the Lions defense held the Wolves scoreless.

The 2nd half was more of the same for the Lions as Kidus scored another goal and senior forward, Osman Moreno, added another 3 goals. The game ended with a Lion victory  7-0 as Kidus ended the game with 4 goals, and Osman had 3. “It was a great game for all of us, but we need to improve on passing more as we relied on our speed and strikers this game,” said an Anonymous Player.

With the win, the Lions are off to a great start as they remain undefeated (2-0) in Division 2 in the AAA.
