The AP Environmental Science class traveled over to Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School, on April 29th, to work with 3rd and 4th graders to help them plant trees as part of the watershed project programs, which help communities implement conservation practices that address watershed resource concerns. In addition to planting trees, students also learned about green infrastructure and the importance of plants.
Asked if the field was a success, AP Environmental Science teacher, Ms. Franzen, said, “Yes, we had tons of compliments and emails thanking us for our work, and the [elementary school] principal was saying how impressed they were with us working with the kids”
