The 2024-2025 school year will bring about a number of changes at Galleo, including; a new bell schedule and a new principal. This also includes a new general counsel, who will be tasked with making the school year better, planning new activities and helping out the school community.

“My hobbies are playing basketball, watching movies, listening to music and hanging with friends! My favorite thing about Galileo are my friends and the community, specifically regarding sports! I love my basketball team. Besides the student government, I’m involved in Best Buddies! Best Buddies is a club that mixes general education students and IED students. I help play in the Special Olympic Basketball games and that’s one of my favorite things to do. I’m also very excited to be President of Best Buddies next year!”

I like how close we are to the water and how we have a lot of stuff close to us like Ghirardelli Square and Fisherman’s Wharf. Something else that I’m involved in is Key Club. I am an officer of Key Club which is a volunteering club where we go around the city volunteering at marathons, beach keep ups, festivals, and more. I really enjoy volunteering and giving back to the community.”

In San Francisco we are all exposed to so many different cultures and backgrounds due to the high amount of immigration. I am part of an after school economics club called the JEC, I am part of an engineering and construction mentorship called ACE, i participate in and will be a board member of USY – a jewish youth group for california highschoolers, and on wednesdays I go the galileo STEM academy as well.”
