Celebration of Middle Eastern and North African Culture

Galileo’s first ever Middle Eastern North African (MENA) assembly on Friday, April 18th kicked off with vibrant and energetic performances ranging from skits, speeches, belly dancing, and more. The event was held to celebrate Arab heritage month which also welcomed guest performers from Lowell High School.

Zeina Suleiman, MENA’s President, mentioned how smoothly the assembly went. “I’m happy about how it turned out because we worked hard. Our club spent a lot of time, specifically during lunch and after-school in the auditorium. We were happy with how many other students and teachers really enjoyed our assembly.”

Meriam Belarbi, MENA Club’s Social Vice President, added, “This was such a great first-time MENA Assembly experience. It was very fun behind the scenes because everyone was laughing and hyping each other up.”
