7 Days of Inspiration (Leanne Zheng)

By Leanne Zheng, staff writer

Inspiration plays an important role in my life especially during this pandemic. Inspiration has motivated me to become better and to work harder towards my goals as well as the things that I am passionate about. The pictures I chose all inspire me in many different ways to keep going and not give up.

This is a photo of food that I had put together from Trader Joe’s and it inspires me to want to cook more in the future and eat healthier meals.

This is a photo of the sun from my car window on the day that I woke up at 6 am. I’m inspired to get up earlier in the morning and go out for a walk to get fresh air and to admire the view because ever since COVID happened, that was the first time I’d been able to see the sun rise.

This is a photo of a sign from my favorite boba shop near my work and seeing this sign every time I go on my break inspires me to keep pushing through my day no matter how hard or how tiring it gets.

This is a photo of some of my skincare products that I use to destress and calm down after a long day of school and work. It inspires me to take better care of myself both mentally and physically.

This is a photo of the food and drinks me and my coworkers had ordered for dinner at work and it inspires me to focus more on the positive instead of the negative and to appreciate the little moments like this. Most of the time I focus on the negative and the bad things that happened instead of just letting it go and focusing on the present and the good things that had happened during the day and not letting it ruin my entire day.

This is a photo of a poster that I had made that holds all the boxes from skincare products that I had purchased over time. This inspires me because even something that is seen as trash can be repurposed and turned into something bigger and better. It reminds me not to give up even when it seems like there’s no way.

This is a photo of my new plants that I had just bought and it inspires me because though this plant is just a green bulb, with time patience and care, it can be nurtured to something beautiful, and just like a flower everybody will have their time where they will bloom and become something wonderful but it takes time. Flowers and plants add a lot of life to a room as well.
