Throughout four years of attendance at Galileo, seniors have taken courses at various difficulty levels and gained experience from them. From late-night assignments to difficult tests and long essays, there are a number of reasons why a class might be difficult. We at the Galileo Press asked,” What was or is the hardest class at Galileo, and what made/makes it so difficult?”
“Calculus BC. It’s difficult because there are a lot of concepts to learn and it takes time to understand them. ”
– Alex W.
“Chemistry. The teacher’s handwriting was incomprehensible and his teaching style made it hard to learn. He basically made the class learn by reading the textbook and barely gave us notes.”
– Theresa L.
”My hardest class is Calculus AB because I don’t particularly understand the lesson and the things we’re doing right now. It’s easy to understand in class with a teacher but hard to understand at home without a teacher.”
– Christina C.
”AP Physics 1 was my most difficult class because the content was hard for me to grasp since I was a beginner and I didn’t really know anything. The tests were very hard and we had weekly quizzes. But even though it was hard, the class was still fun because we had labs.”
– Jaden L.
“AP Computer Science Principles. I don’t know what I’m doing half the time. I ask for help but at the same time I feel like it is hard to ask for help. There’s a lot of assignments but no one is there to explain. Sometimes we do an assignment and the teacher wants you to do something specific but we don’t know how to.”
– Mario V.
“Probability and statistics because I came late in the school year for certain reasons and I had to move multiple times in my life, but I’m still living lavish. The hardest thing about the class is the dynamics of figuring out what the probability of something is. It takes background knowledge.”
– Sebastian C.
“My hardest class is AP Calculus AB. Calculus is hard and the class goes at a pretty fast pace, but the teacher’s great at teaching. The tests are still difficult because they don’t match the practice tests.”
– Nancy G.
“World History was my hardest class because my teacher was strict on the grading. Additionally, the essay was difficult to write during the spring semester.”
