Whether it was winning a championship, experiencing senior night or even just being on the team, Galileo athletes have experienced many highlights over the course of their different sports journeys. With 27 different sports and hundreds of athletes, the Galileo press decided to ask student athletes, “What is your favorite sports moment at Galileo?”

“My favorite moment in track was probably last year when I was doing the 2 mile. All my teammates were pacing me and I was able to get a huge PR because they were all helping and everyone was really encouraging.”

“My favorite moment was my first preseason game against Ignacio because I played well. I had 13 QB pressures, 4 solo tackles and we won the game.”

“My favorite moment playing football was playing against Ignacio because we got to win our very first home game and it felt good winning with my bros. I was excited and the whole team was hyped.”

“My favorite moment is the Lincoln game because my defense and the team’s defense was good and we were all communicating well.”

“My favorite moment while playing soccer was definitely creating relationships with girls i’ve never met before, it teaches you another level of teamwork and your chemistry off the field plays a lot of part of your chemistry on your field.”

“For soccer just being able to be on the team has created a second family for me and being on the team with them for the past 3 years.”

“My favorite moment was in sophomore year when the basketball team beat Mission by 2 because Ben hit the game winning shot in the last 30 seconds. The whole team clamped up on defense. It was the best atmosphere because it felt like an NBA game.”

“I play soccer and my favorite moment was bonding as a team and creating chemistry with each other because we have new players this year so at the beginning of the year we didn’t have any chemistry really so it was hard playing without knowing how to play as a team. Getting to know each other on and off the field has helped a lot with playing better.”
