Ms.Harte

By Juliana Ramirez, staff/writer

Last summer before coming to Galileo, American Literature teacher, Ms Harte,  traveled all around the country, taking a train that went  through all of the states in the US. Her reason for taking the trip was to learn about  different people’s environments, their stories, and how it connects or affects people in the United States.

Before coming to Galileo, Ms. Harte taught at U.C. Berkeley to  mostly Saudi and Chinese students, who had recently come to the US from their home country. This experience influenced her passion for teaching, and was also a reason she decided to make a stop at Galileo, to teach students with different cultures and backgrounds.

Ms Harte says, “I believe that when students give you a hard time, take that as a chance to talk to them and talk about them, and hear what they have to say. Try to build a teacher-student relationship, who knows if you learn something from them.”
