Considering herself to be a workaholic, English teacher Ms. Davé, her second year at Galileo High School after teaching at Balboa High School for 7 years, thrives off the lively atmosphere of her students which drives her to be the most alive in a classroom.
In the beginning of her teaching career, Ms. Davé believed she lacked the fundamentals of hearing students’ voices, which led to an undevolved class. Now, she makes it her priority to require students’ voices and opinions in the classroom, as she feels literature is an open invitation to interpretation.
Over the years, Ms. Davé has made her best effort to honor numerous teaching styles because each individual thinks differently with different set goals and needs. Ms. Davé said, “I have learned that I adore the drama in performing a lesson for my class.”
