The Galileo boys soccer team got the win at home vs June Jordan High School (6-1) on February 8. With the win the Lions improved their record to 4-2 and will be going to the playoffs on February 22nd as the number 4 team.
Galileo had a numbers advantage against June Jordan since June Jordan did not have enough players. The Jordan team played with only 8 players the entire match. Galileo took advantage with goals scored by Logan T. (2 goals) midfielder, Alan C. (1 goal) striker, Myles E. (1 goal) midfielder, Leifh S. (1 goal) left winger, Finn W. (1 goal) left winger.
Unfortunately for the Lions, they didn’t play as well in the match against Lowell on February 10th, where they lost 3-0. Galileo couldn’t create enough chances, while Lowell had a number of attacking threats where they took advantage of the Lions.
