With spring break making its approach, many teachers and students look forward to different plans they have. The Galileo Press decided to ask a group of students and teachers, “What are some of your plans for spring break?”
“I got parties coming up, about three of ‘em. They’re friend parties so I’m looking forward to it. It’s gonna be a lot of people there, ‘turnin up’, just having fun you know? We’re probably going to be shootin’ a couple of music videos and such, but we’re not going to be doing too much.”
– Taye C., Freshman
“My parents live about 3 hours up North so I’m going to drive out there and stay with them for a couple of days, hang out with them. I’m also going to hang out with some friends that I haven’t been able to hang out with just because of how I get so busy with work. Then I’m going to sleep in a lot and kind of just relax.”
– Assistant Principal, Ms. Arkin
“I’m going to Six Flags with my family; my parents and two sisters. I think it’s going to be really fun. I haven’t been to Six Flags in awhile too. I’m most looking forward to the Joker ride.”
– Fernanda Q., Sophomore
“I have jury duty. Unfortunately, I can’t make any other plans until I get jury duty out of the way. I think after I finish with jury duty, I might go hang out with some friends and go out with family.”
– Counselor, Ms. Yu
“I’m going to dye my hair. I’m going to dye it red. It’s more for the celebration of a movie so me dying my hair, it just helps me to prepare for that.”
– Lindsay C., Junior
“So for spring break, I’m going to be getting ready for our spring football season. I have a lot of equipment stuff I have to go over in the equipment room, we’re going to go over the programming that we’re going to be doing for the next month of May. We have a team meeting first so I gotta prepare for that, get the BBQ, get all those things, and get these guys ready. I gotta print up all the flyers for the meeting, so I really do have a lot of things I need to and it all mostly revolves around getting ready for football.”
– Football Coach, Nick Naudain
“My sister, Jasmine, she’s going to be keeping me busy. We’re going to take walks, go out for lunch and dinner. We’re going to hang out, go to the park, and maybe play basketball.”
– Jason T., Senior
“I’m going to Hawaii with my girlfriend. We’re probably going to go snorkeling, eat a lot of food, and kind of just relax.”
– Mr. Crockett, Math Teacher
