Senior Goodbyes

Yes, it’s finally that time. These are the last stories our seniors will write for Galileo Journalism. In these stories, we share some of our strongest memories throughout our time here. Some are embarrassing, some heartwarming. Our reflections hope to give the audience something they can learn from or relate to. We hope you readers enjoy the experiences that shaped our lives so far. And to the seniors, we wish you good luck with the experiences ahead.

Goodbye Galileo. You and I have a love/hate relationship where there are times that you are just an annoyance to me, but there are also times where you gave me some memories that I will never forget as well as introduced me to people who are going to hopefully be lifelong friends.

Over the past 3 and half years of knowing you, you’ve been very kind to me. You showed me new ways to present myself and you always taught me a lot about discipline. Everytime I would not do my homework and let the work pile up you would let me know that I would regret ...

It still doesn’t register that I’ll be leaving you soon. I still remember when I got my lock on the first day of school and me being scared with little friends. I have to admit, it took me a while to enjoy being in your presence. Freshman year was full of naivete and being laid ...

With my past four years with you, my encounter with you has been a very crazy and emotional rollercoaster filled with ups and downs. It was certainly an exciting adventure and one that I will always remember.

I’ve had mixed feelings about you for a while, but at the end of the day you did a lot for me. You’ve introduced me to some amazing people, allowed for me to create unforgettable memories and given me a decent education in the process.

I will always remember you as a reliable friend; however, sometimes you did make me feel lonely. You were always so loud and rowdy in the mornings but the afternoon as silent as a graveyard. I thank you for introducing me to so many people that have had a great impact on me in my ...

I hope that when you see this letter I’ve already met someone new and become best friends with them rather than you (no hard feelings). I feel like me and you didn’t really get that connection that a lot of people felt with you. There’s so many things I feel like I missed out on ...

Every single year I spent with you was different than the last. I made new friends and met new teachers but in this current moment in time, I am so happy I can say that I don’t know any of them anymore. Although that sounds a little cruel, you know what I mean.

Isn’t it crazy, it’s been 4 years already. I still remember meeting you for the first time, as a freshman, it was strange. I didn’t know what to expect, only having two friends with me when I met you, I was lost. However, throughout the years, you taught me a lot of things, academically and ...
