Staff and student relationships are very important in trying to help form a sense of community within the school. Students usually feel more comfortable going to school knowing they are supported by teachers & staff. Knowing this, we at the Galileo press decided to ask students “What teacher/staff have you formed a strong bond with and how has this bond impacted you?”
Sophomore, Isaiah I.
“I built a relationship with Mr.Rodriguez who teaches world history. My grades were doing really poorly and unlike a lot of my teachers he was the most concerned and we had a talk. Even before I had a meeting with my mom he helped me get my grades up a lot.”

” Yeah Ms. Gates, shes just a really good teacher even after taking her class I can still go to her for advice like for college or life in general, sh’es just really easy to talk to.”

“Mr. O has had the biggest impact on me, because he actually takes the time to communicate with students about their personal lives and actually holds interest on how students are outside of school and that’s really important for a school environment especially when students don’t feel that support from other teachers. He’s also a big supporter of the Athletics department.”
