Poll: Worst Rainy Day Experience?

Rainy Days are rare in San Francisco. When they do happen, people happen to have some really, really bad days. Some got soaked. Some slipped. Some wore slides…, some were underdressed. But they were all funny and hard to forget stories. The Galileo Press asked whose had worst rainy day experience.

“I had to leave the house at 8:00 am with my daughter, who was 1 years old, and it was pouring rain, and I just drove around in the car for a few hours because we were both sick and my wife needed the house for her work.”

“I was on a trip to NYC walking around and I didn’t bring an umbrella raincoat or rain boots so I was drenched all day long.”

“I had shorts on and it was windy and raining so the wind blew my shorts down because they were kind of loose.”

“In middle school the campus was really small and we didn’t have that much room at the school, so it was raining and it was crowded so everyone was wet and it was just uncomfortable.”

“I was climbing a tree and I reached for this one branch, but it was super slippery, so when I tried to grab it I slipped and fell out of the tree.”

I was on my way to my friends house walking, and I was walking on the sidewalk, and there was this metal panel that was super slippery, and I slipped on it and got hurt.”

“I had on crocs and it was raining and they had holes in them so the water got into them and my feet got soaked.”

“I remember this day it was raining, I was 9 years old on the soccer team and we were playing on turf but they still wouldn’t cancel the game. We were at one of the parks or fields in the sunset, so we were all out there freezing, slipping and sliding and everyone was miserable even the parents. and I ended up getting sick.”

“I was waiting on a curb and a car drove by and drove really close to the curb and it splashed water all over me and I was soaked for the rest of the day, it sucked.”
