Galileo students participated in the annual “LoveFest” on Valentine’s Day hosted by the Wellness Center, on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. The annual Love Fest tradition is held in the courtyard at lunchtime; which includes a series of fun activities for students to engage in and teach them about safe sex, community organizations and the services available and connecting with the school community as a whole.
“I think it went really well, especially because we had such a great support from the school community as we partnered not only with the Gender-Sexuality Alliance (GSA) but also with the Women Empowerment Club (WEC). Our Galileo teachers were also gracious and supportive in opening their classrooms for our Community Organizations to faciliate workshops to students directly on the focus of our event, which was love, relationships and consent.” said Ms. Auxiliadora Trejos, the Community Health Outreach Worker(CHOW) in Wellness.
