Students couldn’t pass up the opportunity to throw some shaving cream at their favorite (or least favorite) teacher or staff member on Pie Day, March 14th during lunch in the Van Ness gym. The school event was a fundraiser for the sophomore class, organized by sophomore class recording secretary Justin S. & ASB Treasurer Nicholas K. “This fundraiser aimed to use the money for the sophomore class, future dances, and parties for senior classes,” said Nicholas.
In addition to the money made for the classes, participants also saw it as an opportunity to have a little fun. English teacher Ms. Gifford said, “I saw it on TV and it looked fun, so when I overheard a student talking about it I decided to participate in it because I wanted to know how it felt to get pied in the face. I was disappointed more people didn’t pie me. But over all it was a lot of fun.”
