Adding to their win total, and moving up to the 2nd seed (5-2) in their division, the girl’s varsity basketball team took care of business & snatched a close win (44-41) against the Mission Bears on Tuesday, January 31st, at home. After maintaining a 10-point lead for the majority of the game, the Lady Lions allowed Bears to come back during the 4th quarter, but the Lady Lions stopped the scoring run and closed the game out with hustle and defense. Freshmen guard, Angelica H. #12 said, “The key for us to win that game was giving it our all and having teamwork. We trusted each other and really wanted that win so we can make it to playoffs.”
