After a month of hard work and preparation, the Black Student Union (BSU) presented their first Black History Month assembly since before the pandemic. The assembly aimed to embrace the culture and it’s history, while also giving students an opportunity to perform their talents on stage.
“It’s a oppourtunity for the community to come together and celebrate our black black history and black execellence collectively, and it’s a opportunity for black students to share what makes them unique and stories that they are proud of,” said Mr. Matawarana, one of the BSU sponsors, on the importance of the Black History Month Assembly.
