Galileo Baseball’s New Winning Form

By Logan Tracy

This season the Galileo Baseball team was able to win their first regular season game in 4 years, since 2018, after beating Balboa convincingly on March 24th, 10-5. On April 7th Lions doubled their win total by beating the Mission Bears 8-6. This was in response to their loss to Mission 9 to 3 on April 6th. These wins catapulted the Lions into 4th place (a play-off spot) with half the season left to play.

In Galileo’s win over mission the Lions scored through RBI’s from Shortstop Caiden Ridley, Catcher Misha Bruno’s (whose double brought in 2 runs), Left Fielder Frank Tiscareno, Second baseman Jack Weiksner, and Right Fielder Giuseppe Palmer.

Adam Warringer started and pitched 5 innings giving up 4 runs against him and a good overall performance. “I felt like I pitched really well. My pitches were moving – particularly my slider and cutter. I was throwing strikes and finished the job for the team.” Dev Patel then came in to close out the game only giving up 2 runs.
